The Swaminarayan Temple is a popular temple that was built in the year 1824 in Nadiad and the efforts towards making this temple a reality was put in by an English priest and the then President of Baroda Mr Williams. The founder of Swaminarayan Sect Shree Sahajanand Swami is believed to have visited the present site of the temple, which at that time was called the Valanda ni Kacheri (office of the Dutch). Santram Mandir in Nadiad
Devoted to the Santram Maharaj, to whom a number of miracles are attributed, this is perhaps the most popular and famous temple in Nadiad. Not a great deal of historical information is available regarding the life of Maharaj Shree. But this temple is flocked by devotees every day. The most popular tie when the temple is overcrowded with devotees is the full moon night of each month and the Janamashtami festival. Festivals are organized during the full moon nights and Janmashtami and famous orators come to the temple on this holy occasion every year.
Shri Narayan Temple in NadiadStanding proud in the center of the town, Shri Narayan Temple. It was built in the year 1858 by the Gaekwads. The idol here bears great resemblance to the idol in Dakore.
Goswami Temple in NadiadThe ceremony of Chappan Bhog is somewhat related to this temple. As per records, a grand chappan bhog was held here in 1937 that garnered a lot of devotees and a huge crowd had gathered from the surrounding villages to participate in the event.
Mota Kamnath Mahadev in NadiadAnother of the famous temples in Nadiad is the Mota Kamnath Temple which is situated in the southern direction of the town.
