Dakor of Ranchhodrai from Nadiad

One can find Dakor which was earlier known as 'Dankpur', just at the northern part of Nadiad (40 kms from Nadiad). When a traveler comes near to it from a long distance, can see the flying Flag over there, on the big and beautiful Shikhara, welcoming pilgrims since several ages.

When the pilgrimage gets older through the years, the stories starts growing as well. This peaceful mundane village, is filled with many Khakhra trees, which was therefore called as 'Khakhariu gaam'. The place had a Gomti lake, on the bank of which, stood the Danknath Mahadev temple. It is said that, the Rishi Dank launched his Ashram during his stay at Dankpur, due to which the temple as well as the  village were named after him as the 'Danknath Mahadev Temple' for the temple, and the 'Dankpur' for the place, and now its called as 'Dakor'.

Adalaj Stepwell from Nadiad

Adalaj stepwell is a very beautiful well, which has Superb carvings and amazing architecture.This Well is just 72 kms from Nadiad, and is a combination of both the Indian and Islamic designs. It is actually a step-well, which looks like a octagonal from top. Also, there are vents of both air and light at varied levels, which are arranged so beautifully that passageways will not receive sunlight, except the center of the well.

Akshardham Temple from Nadiad

It is one of the beautiful place, which should not be missed. Akshardham is a temple that is devoted to Lord Swaminarayan, a very holy place. Tourists can study the paintings made at this temple, there is a musical fountain at this temple, along with the very well maintained wonderful garden located at Gandhinagar near Nadiad.
